More Bang for Your Entertainment Bucks
So, you (or the kids) are out of school, Summer is spread out in front of you, and now it’s just a matter of deciding what you’re going to do first. Well, the easy answer is Denver Pop Culture Con (DPCC), May 31 to June 2, 2019 (the same, great event you used to know as Denver Comic Con).
Stretching Your Entertainment Dollar
But, you’re responsible for entertaining the entire family — and that makes everything so expensive! Lucky for you that unlike a lot of your choices, our goal at DPCC is to provide you and your family with non-stop entertainment, guests, activities, and spectacle for one day or all weekend. This means that once you pay to get in, the entire family can be entertained for up to three full days at no extra cost!
Not convinced yet? Let’s compare it to some of the alternative forms of entertainment in Colorado: If you hurry and buy 3-Day badges to DPCC, adults cost $93.50 ($85 actually goes to DPCC + 10% for Denver’s mandatory FDA tax), children three and under are free, and 12 and under are only $8.25 (including 10% FDA). So, a family of four could cost $200 or less for 34 hours of entertainment!
So Much to Do, Every Day of the Con
If you wait until the last minute to make your choice, 3-Day and Saturday tickets will be sold out, so you may only get a Friday (May 31) or Sunday (June 2) ticket.
But, that’s still great — because we pack a lot into every day. In this case, that same family of four will cost less than a hundred bucks. And, everyone in the family can do something that tickles their own personal fandom, from people-watching, to getting your personal copy of a famous fantasy novel signed, to experiencing VR up-close in the Kids’ Lab… all of which is free.
Value That’s Hard to Beat
But, Colorado already has so much to do, you say! The difference is that with DPCC you get a whole lot more bang for your buck, especially if your goal is to keep yourself — or your entire family — busy for the entire day or weekend.
For example, one ticket to a two-hour concert that same weekend will run $177.50 for the cheap seats, $1,500 each for front section. And that’s just one ticket, before all the fees and Denver taxes!
The entire family can enjoy an entire weekend at DPCC — including the Opening Night show on Friday with comedians, bands, and surprise guests you will not want to miss, or the Costume Celebration on Saturday evening — for less than the cost of one concert ticket.
How about a Rockies game that same weekend? Four decent seats in the front section at the third-base line is $350 before taxes (and don’t even get us started about the cost of concessions)!
Finally, DPCC couldn’t have come at a better time in 2019. It starts on Friday, May 31 in 2019, so you still have plenty of Summer later to step out into nature.
Memorial Day will have already passed, and July 4th will still be five weekends away. That blockbuster movie or amusement park will be there next week.
So, make sure to experience everything DPCC has to offer while you can! Miss it now, and you won’t get a second chance to see that voice actor, or celebrity, or the hundreds of guests and panels, that will only be appearing during the weekend of May 31-June 2, 2019.
Until Next Time…
Live Long and Prosper,
