Hey anime fans,
The Spring 2020 anime season is almost here, and we have decided to celebrate with a “most popular anime of the decade” bracket! We have picked sixteen popular anime representing some of the major genres in the medium. The selected anime are only full-series anime that began airing between 2010-2019.
The anime and genres represented in the graphic version of the bracket are as follows:
Sports: Yuri on Ice!!! vs. Haikyu!!
Comedy/action: JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure vs. Cells at Work!
Action: Attack on Titan vs. Fate/Zero
Drama: Violet Evergarden vs. Steins;Gate
Period fiction: Dororo vs. Vinland Saga
Isekai: Sword Art Online vs. The Rising of the Shield Hero
Shounen: Demon Slayer Kimetsu no Yaiba vs. My Hero Academia
Sci-fi: Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans vs. Psycho-Pass
Steps:
- Download the Microsoft Word version of the bracket here, Anime Bracket editable
- Fill in your bracket winner choices for each match-up by dragging and dropping the logos, as only fully complete brackets will be counted
- Email your bracket to [email protected] by Wednesday, March 18, 2026 by 5:00pm. Please include your full name and an email we can use for contact should your bracket be chosen to win.
- First match-up will begin Wednesday, March 18, 2026 at 8:00am and will end on Thursday, March 19 at 8:00am
- Vote for your favorite anime for the first match-up on our Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages
- After the first match-up, we will put up another post on all our social media pages with the winner and further instructions for the next match-up
Once voting is complete, one bracket will be randomly selected from the winning brackets. A prize for the winner will be determined after the tournament is over.
